Microsoft offers trade-in for RT-powered Windows devices.

 As Microsoft is pushing forward with the roll-out of Windows 10 and its associated products and services, some devices are likely to be rendered obsolete.

One of such devices is the Windows RT-powered Surface RT and its cousin Surface 2 which will not be among the devices to receive the free Windows 10 upgrade; Microsoft is therefore offering a trade-in of the two devices in exchange for the newly released Surface 3.

Surface 3 is a scaled down version of the flagship Surface Pro 3, it supports Windows desktop apps and will be qualify to get the Windows 10 upgrade once it is available.

So for the RT devices, we say, “Adieu”.
